 OUR FIRST "BABY"

This is a member of our family I haven't talked about yet!  He is our 5 year old black lab, Mack.  John gave him to me the for Christmas the year we started dating (2006). I forgot how little he was!  He was so sweet, but he chewed up EVERYTHING as a puppy.  He is a great dog, and we love his spirit even though sometimes it drives us crazy.  He is always right under your feet, but he just loves to be loved!  He is scaredy cat and big baby, but a protector when he needs to be.  He thinks he is a 10 pound lap dog and we've always treated him like a human so that is how he acts!

Here she comes.....Miss America (or Miss Senior Class)

This weekend we went to see Alex's girlfriend Emily competed in the class beauty pageant.  Let me just say that high school pageants have changed a lot since I was in school and that was not that long ago.  I was impressed at how much more they had invested in this pageant.  It was a lot more than just putting on a dress and walking around the stage.  They had to wear 3 different outfits!  They also had to learn a little group number that they performed at the beginning!

2 Months Old - February 18, 2012

You are 2 Months Old Today!

You are sleeping all through the night!

You eat 5 times during the day. 

You eat around 8:15 every night and then you go to sleep in
your swaddle me.

You usually wake up between 7:30 and 8:00 every morning! 
You always wake up smiling!

You sleep and nap with your Prince Lionheart Slumber Bear
(sound box) making noise beside you.

You weigh about 11 pounds.

You love to smile!

You make lots of noises and "talk" to us.

You recognize us and smile when you

see us and hear our voices.

You like music and noise. 
You are happier when it is noisy!

You like to play and kick your legs.

You still love the bath tub and it calms you down at night
when you can't get settled.  You also have figured out how to
splash the water and make a mess!

You are such a sweet and happy baby! 
We love you Lola!

 

Flashback Friday

Every Friday I decided I would post some pictures from the past.  Since I just started the blog, there is a lot of our life that I did not get to post.  I wanted to have pictures on our blog of other things we have experienced before I started posting.

A White Christmas Tree Farm

Every year for the past 4 years we have gone with Loren and Chad (and now Landry and Lola) to get a real Christmas tree in the mountains.  Here is a "flashback" to those times!
